Valentine's Day Books for Baby

Valentine's Day is right up there with Christmas as one of my favorite holidays! It's such a sweet little holiday to celebrate love and spread kindness. Since EK was born, I have loved changing out the books on her shelves for the holidays. Here are our favorites for Valentine's Day:

HUG: This book book is so cute! Bobo is looking for a hug. This book will be enjoyed far beyond Valentine's Day. Would be a great valentines gift for your baby!

Where is Baby's Valentine?: Karen Katz is one of our favorite authors and we love this series of books. They are short enough to keep a little one's attention and the flaps make it fun!

Baby Touch and Feel I Love You:  It's no secret that babies love to touch and feel everything! Your baby will love the different textures in this story.

Babies Love Valentines: Great book for vocabulary! This study looked at interactive book reading and what happened when the parents or teachers talked about the book they were reading and also insured that the child could play with concrete objects that were represented in the book. The children who were engaged in this type of book reading had larger vocabularies and better language skills.

Huggy Kissy: Yes, it's pretty much mandatory for me to include a Leslie Patricelli book in my holiday baby book recommendations. Her books are absolutely made for littles ones 0-3 and we can't get enough! This book isn't necessarily a valentine book, but with a title like Huggy Kissy it goes with the list! Another great gift idea!

Hug Kiss Love: This book is so good for little hands because of the super thick flaps! This is another sweet book that would be a great valentine's gift because it isn't about Valentine's Day!

Llama Llama I Love You: Babies will love the repetition and rhyme of this  Llama Llama book!

Happy Valentine's Day Mouse: I just love the Laura Numeroff stories with mouse! Simple story line that a toddler would really enjoy!
