Hello November

Yall, what happened to the fall? I feel like I blinked and it was November. On the bright side Thanksgiving Break is just around the corner. This tired teacher could sure use a week off! You may have noticed that it's been a little quiet on the blog. I have a good excuse! I have a new project that I have been working on 24/7 and I can't wait to share it with you! It's big! Are you ready?

It's no secret that I love holidays and home decorating, especially Christmas! I have decided to turn this passion into a business and started a new website: Gingerbread Home and Holiday! I have home, holiday and gift items for sale plus a blog that you won't want to miss this holiday season. I hope you will check it out and find me on Facebook and Instagram too!

Hopefully, you just have a few more days to make it through before Thanksgiving Break! Here is a peak at what will be happening in my classroom:

Of course there will be a lot of Thanksgiving boo reading going on! This one is my absolute favorite read aloud, but I like these too! Click on any book to order through an affiliate link.

Last week we celebrated Veteran's Day! We had a really special ceremony to honor the veterans in our community.

I will have this letter for students to use in my writing station this week so we can continue to honor those who have served.

Download this letter template for FREE by clicking HERE. These books are also great and age appropriate if you are still learning about Veteran's Day:

Of course we will be making a turkey craft!

And this one is also academic! This craft can be used with any book! It includes different feathers that can be mixed and matched depending on the skill you want to teach. The feathers included areCharacters, Setting, Problem, Solution, Beginning, Middle, End, Main Idea, Detail, Fact #1, Fact #2, Fact #3, Fact #4, Fact #5, Fact #6.

I also love a thankful turkey too!

Speaking of thankful, this alphabet writing activity is always a hit for any age of students!
