Texas Kindergarten Teachers

I am so over this cold weather! YUCK! I'm counting on that groundhog to bring some good news!
Next week I am attending the Conference for Texas Kindergarten Teachers in San Marcos. I CAN'T WAIT. And Deanna Jump is going to be there! I feel like she is a bit of a celebrity in the teaching world. As well as many other presenters that I can't wait to see!
Any other Texas Kinder teachers out there attending? I would love to meet up!
We kicked off our penguin week yesterday and my phone is out of memory so I couldn't take a single picture. GRRRR. Looks like I will be cleaning out my phone tonight...
Stay warm! ; )

Sneezy the Snowman Graphing Freebie

Did you survive the first week back? It was definitely a long one for me! I had something going on every night this week. TGIF for reals.
This week we did lots of fun activities with Snowmen! This year I discovered the book, Sneezy the Snowman. I loved it and so did my class! Many of the activities I used came from Deanna Jump's Sneezy the Snowman Unit.
Today for math we did an ice cream graphing activity to go with the book. The kids loved it because they got to eat ice cream!
Here is the graph for you to use. It is nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I hope you can use it in your classroom. I found the cute snowman graphic HERE. I just bought a tub of Neapolitan ice cream and we ate it out of cups because I forgot bowls, oops. I was just glad I had spoons!
I wish I had some great new ideas to share with you, but I pretty much did the same stuff that is all over Pinterest. At least I can admit that, right : )
Also, I just had to share this with you. fiancĂ© and I went to Barnes and Nobles for some cheesecake after dinner and I (of course) had to make a run through the children's section and look what I found...
This is a real page in the book:
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Hello 2014!

I hope that your 2014 is off to a great start. I am starting off my blogging New Years with a Currently from Oh Boy 4th Grade.

Most of these are self explanatory.  My favorite Christmas tradition is strawberry bread. My mom has made this every year for Christmas breakfast my entire life. It is almost like a strawberry cake and it is one of my very favorite Christmas traditions. She always makes extra loaves for us to share with family, friends and neighbors. I have great memories of delivering strawberry bread to all of our neighbors in my red wagon as a kid. I look forward to making strawberry bread for my own kids one day.
I really do have a precious little office that I am going to get cleaned up and organized so that I can be productive in it. Have a wonderful first day of 2014! Woo Hoo!
