Creating MEANINGFUL Class Books

I have always LOVED making class books! They are always a favorite in the classroom library and it is so meaningful for the kids to share their writing and illustrating with their peers. It is my goal this year to have enough classroom books that every kid has one to take home at the end of the year. AND that I will have a few of my favorite to tuck away : )

Here are a few tips for making classroom books effective and meaningful in your classroom! : )

I would love to hear about how you use class books in your classroom!
Enjoy your Thanksgiving week! I only have a day and a half of work and then I will be stuffing my face! : ) Gobble, gobble.

  1. Your ideas are great and I will absolutely start including a picture of the author on each page! When my book is finished & bound, I allow each student the opportunity to take the class book home for the night to share w/ their family. The kids love to read to their family and it allows everyone the chance to get to know each other a little better.
